No elephants here but it is a huge zoo. Rather rough walking if you are pushing a stroller. Lots of hills. Go early in the morning to take advantage of the shade as the zoo is large and very spread out.

Big zoo and it's free. But to be fair: nothing spectacular and similar to other, average zoos. But if you've some free time...

Average at best, but for a free attraction worth a trip if you're looking for a something to do for a few hours. There is a tropical section which you have to pay to enter, this was better than the main zoo but still quite limited.

Had read reviews that this was a free zoo and two thoughts sprang to mind... Only for locals carrying a council tax bill paid up in full or there will be a dog, cat and three fish! On arriving the car park was free, good start... We got to the entrance and a queue at a kiosk with price list... More

A small zoo, but with some interesting animals. An easy tram and bus ride to get there. Nice walking trails.

If you are in Montpellier, the Parc Zoologic is definitely worth a visit. The place is slighltl off the city main beaten track but it’s well connected anyway. It’s free and the animal collection is good. The enclosures are quite big (but some of them have high rough vegetation which might make spotting the animals difficult). Also, the place covers... The zoo is free which is great ! You can pay to go to the indoor tropical bit, but we didn't do that. Animals are well spread out so the park doesn't get busy. Great for a relaxed walk around in the sun. Make sure you give yourself some time as we had to go twice to get through everything.

The zoo is amazing, there is a vast amount of wildlife to see like Rhinoceros Zebra Giraffe and many other species you would not see in a UK zoo. The zoo is absolutely free although there is a small change to enter the rain forest section but it is well worth the entrance fee. It is easy to get to... More

This zoo park is really beautiful with alot of exotic animals that I actually hadn't seen before I came here. It's pretty amazing that they actually give you all of it for free! Definitely worth a visit but just remember that if it's really hot it could be hard to cope the heat since its a long walking distance within... More

Visiting the Zoo in Montpellier is a very nice way to spend the afternoon. There are a lot of animal species and it values your money for sure: because it's free!
