I was shocked by the quality of food and its presentation compared to the prices charged. My menue was 25.90 EUR, including a trout starter in a delicious sauce, followed by swordfish. The service was also impeccable. Highly recommended.

Beautiful sober Cistercian abbey which includes a charming cloister numerous ancillary halls and buildings, a small rose garden and vast woods populated by cypress and pines.

Remarkable monastery. Peaceful, architectural landmark of the region, beautiful gardens and stunning windows in the church. Well worth the stop. We couldn't walk past the gardens to walk to the cross because of fire safety rules in place in the region at the time but during low season it must be fabulous to walk to the paths and look down at the monastery. Toilets, restaurant and lovely ice creams in the café in the yard. Graham was very welcoming at the entrance. A special stop away from the crowds. There is a large car park with picnic tables before the entrance

Nice inner garden and cloister. Good stop to understand the cistercian monks era, even though some more contemporary sculptures and stained glasses were added.

So beautiful and surely one of the best examples of its kind in all of France. A delight of architecture and gardens. Excellent value as there is so much to see. One could enjoy a whole day here. Well preserved and presented. The stained glass windows in the church are spectacular. Highly recommended for everyone including families with children. There is a small lift for infirm visitors but the upper levels would not be accessible because of stairs. Do not let that put you off as there is so much else to see

If you love history and architecture this should be a must place to visit. We spent about an hour touring through this place. There is a pay to enter side and a free side that asks for a donation. My suggestion is to do the free side only as the other side does not really show very much in my opinion. The whole tour took about 40 mins and is competely self guided. Parking is a brisk walk to the abbey. My only issue is you really need to pay attention to the signage as we missed it and found ourselves wandering about the old town which is ok too!

Solo travelling before meeting friends over Easter. It's a quick drive from Narbonne Rail Station. However, if you don't drive (like me), local transport means you'll have to book a taxi, which I did.
I did a self guided tour, then private wine tasting and lunch. All in all, I would visit again. Professional, friendly, passionate staff. The Abbey is stunning. Grounds beautiful. The wine tasting and lunch were superb. Makes a nice morning early afternoon trip (I started at 10 am left at 130pm). Fabulous - don't hesitate
