We went into the gardens after visiting the cathedral. This was right up my street. Beautifully laid out and with degree of informality I found refreshing. The gardens seem to go on and on and we found a shady bench to eat our baguette lunches,...More

These botanic gardens are nice, but appear to be a little bit neglected. The lower terraces are a bit dry. The fact that the garden has got lots of stairs makes it exciting to walk, but a big challenge for strollers and wheelchairs.

Well worth the walk, the park and gardens are set in about 5 hectares right in the heart of the Cite district. We walked from the lovely railway station following the map from the information centre there. There are 6 terraced gardens created at the...More

If you want to walk a bit far from the center crowd this garden is a perfect place where you can seat and chill during a warm summer or just walk and visit to see all the plant, absolutely gorgeous !

At any time during the year. Well kept, creative and providing shelter for many of its citizens..the area which features aquatic plants and moss is especially lovely

A haven of peace in Limoges, and well used by local people, the flowerbeds and especially the fountains are well worth seeing and photographing.

This place is very quite, you can have a walk arond the walls and have a beautiful view of Limoges, but you can also visit the botanical garden. That is a great place that was really well maintened. A must see in Limoges.

In the grounds of the cathedral, the gardens surround the old Bishop's Palace which is now part of the Museum des Beaux Artes. Apart from the plants and the views over the River Vienne, there is a spectacular water feature featuring different fountains.

It is possible to sit and do nowt in these gardens. Far away from the madding crowd. I suggest that you sit & read a good book in the shade by one of the fountains. Perfect for those who love doing such a thing! :-)
