While I think that there was much to like about this museum, and it’s relatively small size is a good attribute, I agree with patrickk14071VV’s view that the English audio tour was difficult to relate to the otherwise untranslated exhibits. I acknowledge totally that this...More

Following an earlier trip to the Resistance Museum in Neuvic I eagerly anticipated my visit here and expected this one to be arranged on similar lines, i.e portraying details of Resistance activity this time in the Haute Vienne but it was far more detailed than...More

We went here to learn more about the war in France and what occupied France would have been like. The displays are only in French but we paid £6 each for entry and this also included an audio tour that I would definitely recommend. You...More

As the 2 reviews below say there is nothing in English. The audio guide certainly helps to give an overall guide but I’d have loved to understand the information in more detail. I went to Oradour Sur Glane today which also suffered from the same...More

Very interesting insight into the work of the resistance in world war 2. Only problem is nothing is written in English however, each of the photos summed up what words could not say.

It's really about the war from the French viewpoint as well as the resistance. I interesting parts a Brit wouldn't know. Not all the videos worked and the signage for the audio guide was not prominent enough or in obvious places which led to a...More

This small museum provides a comprehensive history of the resistance in France and the effects of the war on the daily lives of the French people. There is a temporary exhibition downstairs which displays costumes from the period. The costumes were designed for a movie...More
