Lovely old small cloisters . Beautifully planted with access from two streets. Quiet break from busy streets. Well worth the visit.

We were in Toulouse in last Christmas and visited this place. This appeared to me the best appealing Cathedral I had ever seen. We reached here on our Day 5. by train. We took 09-15am train and reached at Albi Ville station at 10 -25am. It was 70 mins journey from Toulouse Matabieu rail station and the fare was about... More

Free entry and does not close for lunch. Small cloisters hidden off city centre streets with some lovely old dwellings inside. Follow the path round to the small square and see the church from the rear and the small houses tucked into the square. Small cafe there to soak it all up.

Albi is absolutely not a stressful frantic place, but if you are feeling a bit tired after exploring the interesting medieval streets and alleyways, this is a good place to come and relax. The church itself is interesting, not least because of the extraordinary mix of building materials which have been used in its various rebuilding through the ages.....stone, brick... More

The most beautiful cloister, off a street in Albi, easily missed if you don't know about it Magnificent architecture and lovely, well-tended flower beds.

Well worth stopping for a short visit along with the Collegiate Saint Salvy church. The church and cloisters are attached and it is a peaceful interlude from the crowds outside. In the garden are the flowers and unusually, vegetables which was a really pleasant change. On a Sunday there was also a guitarist playing, looking for donations, but it did... More

In Albi it is easy to be over awed by brutality of the Cathedral and miss this rather more interesting church and the surviving part of its cloister. A cool, peaceful oasis in the bustling town. It is worth walking through the cloister, and turning left at the end as it drops down into a lovely square with a great... More

We visited because the host of our B&B marked it out on the map and it is close to the Cathedral and the museum. It is rather small as cloisters go. Though it is not impressive, it does illicit a feeling of peacefulness.

The way that the cloister is written up in the tourist literature, you would expect something spectacular. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty, but I think the reason that it is ranked so highly on Albi is that after the Cathedral and the Musee Toulouse-Lautrec there isn't much else to see, so it creeps into the top 5. There is... More
