In addition to having useful maps and info on visiting the World Heritage sites, the Tourism Office has a list of local taxi operators. After we were unsuccessful in getting an online response from one company, Robin called and made arrangements on our behalf. We appreciate the extra effort on his part. It meant a lot to us.

Can't fault the service. The lady spoke really good clear English & gave accurate information, what more do you want? She marked the map to show us the main places to see & explained the 3 different walks shown on the map

The Tourist Office of Albi is open planned and well laid out. We found the staff to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a great deal of information available of places to visit, things to do and local hotels. There are also local maps available for free! Certainly the first place to visit when in Albi.

Helpful staff with good English.
Get an Albi Pass (Euro 12) to save money (free entrance to the Cathedral and to the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum) as well as avoid the ticket line for the Cathedral and provide a free audio guide for this stunning building. The Pass also give you discounts for other museums,restaurants, etc in Albi.

We were in Toulouse in last Christmas and visited this place. This appeared to me the best appealing Cathedral I had ever seen. We reached here on our Day 5. by train. We took 09-15am train and reached at Albi Ville station at 10 -25am. It was 70 mins journey from Toulouse Matabieu rail station and the fare was about £10 per head. From the Albi Ville station it was 20 mins of walking to reach The Cathedral area. The direction was very easy, we took a left turn, while came out of station and after about 10 mins took another left to reach the area. The Cathedral is visible from a long distance and reaching there was not a problem.
As usual, we looked for Tourist office first to have more details about the area and found this one which is very near to the Cathedral area. When asked for the area details and what to be seen, the staff gave all the necessary maps and clear ideas of the areas.
They also suggested to follow 2 walking routes of the old city once we were done with the main Cathedral , Pont Vieux and Saint Salvi Collegiate Church. We really enjoyed both the walking routes and thanks to the Tourist office for providing all necessary information.

Purchase the Albi city pass for quick access to Toulouse Lautrec Musee and Cathedral Saint Cecile. Reductions for other museums ie Musee Laperouse is also included in your city pass The three city walks highlighted in city map provide a great overview of Albi. Monuments are highlighted on the map. Descriptions in French, English and Spainish are given at most monuments.

Typical of France - a place to help tourist is shut in the middle of the day !
Anyhow head here straight away as they are really helpful, get your free map and walk the recommended routs that take you all around the sights of the city.
This is a fantastic place and you will love the views architecture and in particular the cathedral

Very friendly and patient staff members. In a matter of minutes we got what we needed: a combination ticket for Musèe Toulouse-Lautrec, Cathedrale St.Cecile and some other sites that unfortunately we did not have time to visit. They speak very good English which is a huge plus. I would like to thank the staff of Albi's Tourist Office who made us feel so welcomed. They set the stage for our visit to beautiful Albi in the best possible way.
