Take your time and walk the little streets. You don't have to be a believer to enjoy the houses and the church or the shops. Take the elevator to clime the hill it's only 3.10 euro

We had read a bit about this village, but to be honest our knowledge was limited. We are touring the region and Rocamadour was recommended and apparently is one of the top tourist destinations in France. We left our vehicle on the plateau and walked...More

Being one of the most famous villages in France I had to come here. Luckily for us, we arrived quite early and found parking outside the village below the chateau. The village, with all of its souvenir shops and cafés selling overpriced water, was just...More

If you're fit and able to do it, park at the top and walk down. Amazing views and a stunning place. It is probably extremely busy in peak season but it was fine for us in September. The only problem we had was finding somewhere...More

Use the Chateau parking which is free. We visited the chateau, walked down to the religious site then through the village. The village is too touristy. Then went to the Roche des Aigles. Great day.

Definitely worth half a day to visit the chateau and the town below. I would suggest eating up at the top of Rocamadour, as the lot more options at the top for lunch and dinner. With an amazing view. parking up here is a lot...More

Park at the top It is free at the far end although not signposted as such. There are largish cafes here. There is a lift and cable car of sorts which runs very regularly but this is chargable. Not particularly cheap as I... More
