ENJOY A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE FROM PREHISTORIC TIMES! In our activity workshops you will be able to learn to hunt, paint, prepare flints and light a fire, just the way they used to do it 14,000 years ago! And in the 'Grand Atelier' - a museum dedicated to Prehistoric Art - you will be able to watch films, and see objects and facsimiles of Niaux Cave's 'Salon Noir', the 'Forbidden Niaux' and the Marsoulas Cave. THE GIANTS OF THE ICE AGE Discover species emblematic of prehistoric times in a steppe-like landscape: a Cave Lion, a Steppe Bison, an Irish Elk and a Mammoth. The visit ends with a playful module inviting you to pit yourselves against these animals with games and original experiences. English audio guides The participative workshops are covered and stay opened whatever the weather.

I loved this place. The surroundings are lovely and the reproductions of the cave paintings in Niaux and other regional caves were outstanding. While one can go to Niaux, sections of the cave are restricted and one cannot take photos. Here you have a 3D...More

We went to visit with our 5yo, English speaking and we were initially worried that she would bore easily as prehistory is still a very vague concept for her. In the opposite, she had great fun in the park, particularly enjoying the painting workshop where...More

Divided between indoor and outdoor sites, the PDLP tells you as much about prehistory as you can realistically retain in one visit. The indoor museum space is superb, completed by a very informative wireless audio guide. The park itself has interactive pursuits, hosted by staff,...More

We visited at the end of June before the summer rush. The park is well done and kids will probably love it. The exhibition is not suitable for the visually handicapped.

This place got our attention right from the entrance, where it rather put into perspective how old the things were that we were about to see. The indoor museum part is fascinating and cleverly done - although a little confusing in the very dark areas....More
