A380 PUBLIC TOUR

Be careful when you book as it turned out we had a 'French" tour. Fortunately I was on business with Airbus and the guide was multi lingual, so got the translation. The A380 tour... read more

You watch an out dated video, ride a bus to the building they assembly them and ride an elevator to the top of the building and look out over the building. You can see several 380's from the outside (that's really all you see at the assembly plant) plus you can watch more video's. Lastly you ride the bus back... More

My partner was interested in this more than me, but to my surprise I really enjoyed it. Very factual, you get a talk about airbus, before going on the bus to view the factory. You then return to go inside a mock airbus (which is really large). Tours are done in English, and our guide was very knowledgable. Much better... More

This is a must if you are interested in air travel. It is well organized and very informative. There is a shop to get Airbus 'goodies' but if you miss out on that or wished you had got something, don't worry, there is an Airbus shop in the corner of one of the bigger shops at Toulouse airport. Prices seemed... More

Be careful when you book as it turned out we had a 'French" tour. Fortunately I was on business with Airbus and the guide was multi lingual, so got the translation. The A380 tour is conducted on site at the 380 production line which is at the opposite end of the airfield to the other tours offered by Airbus.

While I'm not a plane nut, I was still very interested to see what was involved in these massive machines and I wasn't disappointed. We did the tour which consisted of the telemetry room (detailing the first test flight of the A380), view of the assembly floor and cabin configurations. It only went for ~60 minutes, but it was really... More

Went on the A380 tour - first part was in the telemetry room showing actual footage of first test flight, followed by a look over the assembly area with details of how sections arrived there then finally a look inside an actual section of two level passenger accommodation. Very good and knowledgeable guide with plenty of souvenirs available in the... More

The office is very hard to find, but once we found it, we enjoyed both tours. It's a pity that we couldn't get any closer to an A380 than the viewing areas, but we can understand why. The heritage tour is great - lot's of information and a chance to walk around and sit in the Concorde.

Fantastic tour, not sure if our group was given a special tour, but we were on the floor of the A380 production area and went down the line to each station in the construction/assembly process. It is an amazing thing to see.

Could be much more interesting, specially the so-called "heritage" tour. Concorde and Caravelle which were great historical aircraft seem to want to fall apart... When it comes to the "A380" tour, the simulation of the flight tests is real good, but the visit of the assembly line building left me a a taste of disappointment. And not too cheap, really...

Awkward to book a visit, and awkward to find the tour office, particularly if public transport is on strike again, or you have problems with long walks. Not well signposted from the tram stop. Expensive for what it is. A380 tour consists of a distant view through glass from a viewing platform high up and far away inside the factory.... More
