A huge building within the centre of Toulouse. Entry is free and there are frequent concerts that can be attended. The Basilica has a carillon that chimes out on the hour, quarter past, half past and quarter to the hour. The architecture is splendid and this location is a must see on a trip to Toulouse. There are three eateries... More

The scale and architecture is really amazing. Not a religious person but I found myself at ease sitting in the pews marvelling at the surroundings

Fascinating large church in quiet square with some intriguing art works. Well worth a visit. Architecturally interesting both inside and out.

Just 5 minutes walk from the Centre Capitol square in Toulouse, the magnificent and unusual Basilique is a fascinating study in architecture from 11th and 12th century. It's worth reading the basic history, dating back to the 4th century and the first Archbishop of Toulouse, before a visit to fully appreciate the interesting mix of building techniques and architecture in... This basilique is different from the ones I've seen before in France: the colour to start is quite light and it's also quite airy so it doesn't feel as old as it is. Some of it was closed to renovations but we still got a good feel of the place. Quite large and impressive. If you go, try to go... More

This Basilica is the biggest Romanesque Church in Europe. It is absolutely beautiful. The place is steeped in history and is so near the centre of Toulouse. You could easily miss it because it's not in an obvious location. While we were there, a service was being conducted. The sound of the Organ was tremendous.

Romanesque church of the late 12 century (or so). Amazing bell tower. The nave is barrel vaulted. Interesting church.

Went to have a look and it was one of the nicest things we saw when in Toulouse. Do not need very long to visit as not that big

Very impressive site with a very rich choir to visit. A lady ia available to assist you while visiting the choir. She knows everything about very little piece of the Basilique.
