A very beautiful interior and interesting visuals regarding the pilgrimage route to Santiago Di compostela

Visited for centuries by pilgrims, this is a place of peace and beauty. Local government is currently redeveloping the surrounding area to be more in harmony with the basilica. Try to be there for an organ concert.

There is a lot of work going on outside and inside this stunning church but it doesn’t detract from the experience of visiting here. The interior of the church with its altar, side chapels, frescos and mosaics is on a par with some of the...More

A beautiful large elegant church, unusual at being built and vaulted in brick. Well presented and a must to visit.

Distinctive wedding cake tower, leaning gently, tops this huge Romanesque Church. Most guide books describe it as the largest pure Romanesque church in Western Europe. The nave is a soaring feat of light, only marginally spoiled by the fussy 18C Baroque additions around the altar,...More

This is certainly a beautiful and important landmark, but the entire area is under heavy construction. They are building what should be a beautiful plaza to surround the Basilica, but right now it is a big mess. You can go inside, but it is a...More

We did not know the history of St. Sernin and so we decided to go and visit the basilica. We learned so much about this Saint and how he came to be a Saint. This is close to the city center but since there is...More
