Toulouse is full of ancient architecture and medieval heritage but this monastery shines like a diamond even between all pearls on the crown of the town. Bright and dynamic Mauritanian style of the Western Mediterranean mixed up with reflection and religios fear of middle ages...More

It's in the city center and the visit doesn't take long as it's not big. However, it's beautiful, with very nice color-glass windows. It worth to stop and visit it. Free entrance.

This church was part of the monastery and therefore is divided into two with columns to separate the monks from the public. It is only used for one service each year now and that is a mass in late November. It was wonderful to hear...More

A beautiful building in a beautiful city. Definitely worth taking a detour to see it. I wish I could have stayed longer.

This deconsecrated Roman Catholic church was one of my favourite places on our recent tour. It features fabulous Gothic architecture, and, notably, a single row of pillars resulting in a stunning ceiling. The tomb of Saint Thomas Aquinas is here.

Another interesting former church to visit in Toulouse, but I felt that the restoration was too severe - not enough conservation with very heavy repointing. There was an interesting contemporary art exhibition in the chapter house and cloister.

This church is attached to the famous Couvent des Jacobins. There's a lot of history here and the Couvent is a must visit if you are into photography.

The courtyard, nice view of the Church of Les Jacobins. This place is different for typical French. The Art and building are mixed between Spanish and Roman type.
