Much better than what I expected

I went in expected very little - thought it's a private museum with some collection of daily items and that's it. I ended up being very surprised. A group of us had a guide going... read more

Museum is down an alley and has a nice courtyard. Five euros and not worth it in my opinion. Some objects of historical interest and some Roman stuff but very limited.

I love museums but really fle this one needs some work. The ladies who are guides and docents are absolutely adorable and helpful. But the museum is very poorly organized. I wasn't sure if it was organized chronologically, topically or by size of object. Ther's also a real gap in representation of Toulouse history. Possibly because so many other museums... More

I went in expected very little - thought it's a private museum with some collection of daily items and that's it. I ended up being very surprised. A group of us had a guide going through each room and telling us all the interesting history of Toulouse. I ended up spending 2 hours in there and I have learnt a... More

This private museum is in a beautiful old house very near to the Capitole, in the centre of Toulouse. It is small and with a modest collection of bits and pieces relating to Toulouse's past. Entry is just €2.50 and well worth the price. In 2015 it is open between April 13 and November 7.

The Musee is an interesting look at the story of Toulouse. Its not big so easy to visit in an hour or less but there are lots of photos and interesting insights into the old Toulouse. I liked it.

We visited and found that the museum left us flat. The art wasn't that good nor the artifacts. Maybe if you are from the area or if you have a rainy 1/2 hour to fill. There is an English booklet available.

It's a small museum, only five rooms and a terrace, but I was lucky enough to be there when a fabulous guide was on duty. It's staffed entirely by volunteers, and they not only know their stuff, they love explaining it to people - I was wondering why the cathedral was such an odd shape and now I know! Not... More

I felt privileged to look around this museum, you enter the museum through a courtyard then go twice around an old wooden spiral staircase to reach the museum. Upon entry I was met by two wonderful ladies who were charming characters to talk to, I spoke only in French so do not know if they spoke English or not, they... More

Welcoming staff, guide books available in English (not sure about other languages), place to leave bags. Lots to see and rarely busy as not often featured in city guides, etc. 2.5 euro entry.
