a little further away from the centre of Lille but it was worth the walk. There are many art students sketching and painting which is very interesting to watch.

This beautiful building houses much interesting art. Although much from Middle Ages and onwards, they also have some interesting contemporary art. My favourite was van Gog's cows which he based on an older painting from another painter, which painting they cleverly hung next to it.

7 Euros per head is quite steep compared to the collection on display. Have been to better museums than this. Really liked the 19th century sculptures compared to all other art on display. Good for a one time visit. Apparently free to visit every first sunday of the month

A nice museum with good exhibitions. Especially the audiotour is nice. I loved the details they give you on the paintings. Lovely works of Rubens, Brueghel, etc....

For a wet February morning in Lille, this was the ideal place to go. Fascinating collections of art, porcelain and sculpture covering a host of different eras, from 15th century religious paintings to works by Monet, Renoir and Picasso, as well as a number of Rodin sculptures. I was particularly impressed with the number of art students who were allowed... More

Lots to see in this magnificent building. A great range from early Flemish paintings to the impressionists. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and were impressed with the variety and quality of art.

A great selection of fine art ( more National Gallery than Tate Gallery ) the basement area is a bit of a mixed bag of artifacts with some models of historical town layouts which may be of limited interest.

Not so crowded, space to move, excellent iPod self tour free with ticket ( need to leave Id as security). A gem of a museum. Great mix of ancient Egyptian through 20th century. We had brunch in the cafe inside. Not a broad selection but very good sandwiches, fresh salad and excellent choc brownie. It was a Sunday visit so... More
