What a wonderful way to spend a full day visiting the Normandy beaches, cemeteries and villages to capture the spirit of that historic event of 1944. For those with limited time, the full day tour from Paris is a wonderful way to get to see all of the highlights of this very important area. The guide was very skilled in... More

Taking a tour with Edward / Battle of Normandy Tours is well worth the travel, time and expense. Typically, a tour will take you there, provide a superficial description of what you are seeing, and turn you loose. Taking a tour with Edward is being immersed in the subject as much as you care to be, and given the amount... More

We had read a lot of the reviews of Ed's tours on TripAdvisor and had very high expectations. He exceeded them. We spent three days with Ed and each was jam packed with interesting and exciting details and perspectives on the battles in Normandy. We had done a lot of reading about the Normandy battles and it was wonderful to... More

Ed lead us to the beaches of the D-Day invasion of France during our one day tour with him and he recommended other sites for us to see and visit on our own. Ed is friendly and knowledgeable of WWII and the particulars of the invasion and subsequent times. Ed ahs studied the war and the activities that occurred on... More

Ed was, above all, passionate about the battle of Normandy. He was a wealth of information and his love for the subject was apparent with every story he told. If political correctness is important to you, then look elsewhere. His barbs are all tongue-in-cheek, but he spares no one! We found him to be engaging, funny and full of energy.... More

Eddie Robinson worked hard, in spite of the weather, to make history come alive. Literally jumping into the craters and gun emplacements, he illustrated his talk with period pictures of the exact location we were standing. I would recommend him. I would use him again.

As a travel consultant looking for a guide for Normandy several years ago I found Ed on Trip Advisor. I suggested Ed to a group of my clients traveling to Normandy. They were blown away by his knowledge of the region, his ability to make history come alive and his wonderful entertaining style of sharing his knowledge. Later this same... More

The three days I spent with Ed were incredible. My father entered Omaha Beach on D-Day + 2. Ed increased my knowledge of his surroundings and situation 10 fold. Ed not only confirmed what I knew about his participation in the invasion but brought it all so alive and personal for me. I now have a better understanding of the... More

Ed is wonderful, funny, entertaining, and so very knowledgeable. He does amazing preparation for the tours, I don't think I could have made a better choice for our tour of the D-Day events in Normandy. We only had two days and Ed filled our days so they came alive with the events of June 1944. My husband has always been... More

Over a 3 day period in Sept, 2016, my wife and I, accompanied by a few of our neighbors from the US, toured the Normandy beaches and surrounding countryside. Ed Robinson, our stupendous, high energy guide, brought the WWII Allied invasions to life. He set the stage by describing the terrain the Allies were confronted with (....flat land beyond the...
