Bertrand Saudrais took my husband and our 10-year old son, who is currently very interested in the WW II history, to a full day tour of the Normandy battle sites including Saint Mare-Eglise church, Utah Beach, American Cemetery and ending it with a tour of the Omaha Beach. Bertrand took us in his car which was very convenient. He was... More

Bertrand is a walking WW2 textbook. My husband and I did a half day tour with Bertrand. It was excellent. My husband is very knowledgeable of WW2, Bertrand added to that knowledge and brought thing to life for us. He pick us up at the train station in Bayeux, and off we went. Seeing the bomb craters and remains of... More

Six of us spent the day with Bertrand touring the Word War II areas of Normandy. His explanations brought the area to life, and clarified the timeline of the allied Normandy invasion. Bertrand was punctual at picking us up at our hotel and professional in every way. If you have the chance to visit this area, I highly recommend Bertrand... More

We both thoroughly enjoyed Bertrand in September. He met us at the train station, took us on an afternoon tour and dropped us at our hotel. Very considerate man, as he took time for us to get a little lunch at the beginning of the tour (as the train from Paris arrives a little after noon). He is delightful. His... More

My husband and I had a wonderful half day tour with Bertrand in October. He is extremely knowledgable about WW2 and the area. He made the tour interesting by providing stories and anecdotes about the war and the places we visited. He tailored the tour to our personal interests and knowledge. His english was excellent and he was easy to... More

Bertrand Saudrais provides a great tour. He not only knows the history and geography of the area, but he is fluent in English and married to a New Jersey woman. We spent nearly five hours (what he defined as a half-day tour) with him in mid-September 2016, in weather approximating that of the D-Day landings. He was unruffled by the... More

Bertrand picked the four of us up promptly at 9:00 and we spent the whole day (until 6:00) with him and he dropped us off at our rental. Bertrand is a very knowledgeable historian who loves what he does and he packs in a lot of local knowledge along with the history. He is charming, speaks excellent English, and has... More

Full day from 9-6. Picked us (4 adults) up in our hotel. Spacious, comfortable mini van. Had lunch in the van to save time while driving between sites. Wealth of Normandy knowledge that was only the beginning. Friendly, funny, and a joy to spend the day with. Conversed about world history, American politics, classic cars, and NJ. If you choose... We were so lucky to have found Bertrand to show us the area. He was so knowable and so personal in his style of sharing all his knowledge. We signed up for a full day tour and it was the highlight of our trip to Normandy. If you are planning a trip to Normandy have Bertrand show you the sights.... More

Together with friends (four adults over 60), we had an all day tour with Bertrand focused on DDay, visiting among other sites the church at Saint Mere Eglise, Utah beach, Omaha beach. It was a fantastic experience, very informative, thought provoking, and allowed us to discuss different ideas and aspects. In all, it was an enriching experience, giving us a... More
