Situated near the British Military Cemetery of Bayeux, the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy narrates the battles which took place in Normandy after the D-Day landings, between 7th June and 29th August 1944. The collections of military equipment, the diorama and the archival films allow the visitor to grasp the enormous effort made during this decisive battle in order to restore peace in Europe.

You go into the museum and a very strange emotion comes over you. June 6, 1944 comes alive. One can not really imagine how scary it was but at the same time the brave effort liberating France! A must see

You could actually spend hours here. There is so much detail of the d-day landings down to a detailed description of the officers involved. You can really start to piece together the days running up to and also each day on what happened on June...More

This place needs a redo. Just lots of hardware, uniforms and vehicles displayed. Not too sure I would recommend someone else to visit.

Really well done museum and a complete overload of information. So much unique history here and information in both French and English. Well worth your time. Don’t climb on the tanks outside. We saw someone climb on them and everyone remarked at how disrespectful it...More

This is a great way to understand the dynamics of the period leading up to the conflict and the complexity of the operation "Overlord". This museum lays it out with artifacts and memorabilia to support the story of D Day.

Every film is in English. I cannot say when they are show in English but it seemed to be most of the time.
