We did a small group tour only 8 people. Loved it. Arrived before most of the large tour groups, and then visited the church and grave with lots of commentary about Monet and his life. We loved the gardens and was definitely one of our...More

Having seen the famous bridge and water lilies so many times over the years, it was fun to take a day trip from Paris to visit the gardens and Monet's house. The gardens are extensive and stunning - likely far more so than when Monet...More

When you arrive on the train, there is a paid shuttle that will take you to the village. You can walk, and if you have time and don't mind the exercise, I suggest go for it. It's beautiful all the way there. It is quite...More

Surpassed our expectations, but we do love Monet. Worth buying a ticket before you visit and getting there early, although I do wonder if the water lilies would have been more open later in the day. We arrived at around 10:30. Had tickets and were...More

Monet's house and garden are really beautiful. Like others, we arrived early and went in virtually straight away. To avoid the crowds, we were advised to go to the lily ponds first, and they are everything you would hope for. The Gardens and the flower...More

From the pristine water gardens to the lush house gardens, the whole property is straight out of an Impressionists vision of Heaven. Plus, the house itself has that I wish I lived here look, especially the yellow kitchen. Anyway, try to come on a less...More

We saw the gardens in the early morning on a sunny August day. The crowds were minimal. What a feast! The variety and colors of the flowers are amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable about Monet but not a horticulturist so I saw many plants I...More

We stopped here for a few hours on our way to Mont. St. Michel. I am glad we did. The gardens are beautiful and you get to see Monet's inspiration for his Lillies painting. The house is charming and well cared for. A must see....More

Yes it is crowded and Yes some of the crowd is rude -- like annoyingly rude... all in an effort to get a photograph of every little thing. BUT maybe for a second or two you will find a moment that is yours and if...More

Getting to the Gardens posed no problem but a bit of a mix-up with the guide and bus company caused us a substantial delay in getting into the gardens. Once in the weather had a big influence on the pleasure as fairly continuous heavy rain...More

Hi There is a café literally next door to the house where you can get a coffee, drink, or something to eat. We stopped for a coffee there on our visit, prices were average. Hope this helps. Regards Charles
