The Sanctuaire is a wonderful place to make a pilgrimage to. Very moving, well worth the visit, quite spectacularly beautiful. A good walk from the train station, uphill but it can be done if your in reasonably good shape. Light a candle for me if you go! Merci!

We have visited here several times and every time it is just beautiful. If you are in the area, just pop in it will be worth it. There is a lift so if you have problems with mobility you can still get to see inside. There are signs so just follow them. Otherwise there are several steps up the front... More

Well worth a visit, it really is spectacular. And when you read up on the history and realise how quickly it was built you can't help but be in awe. Highlight of the day- St. Teresa's arm bone in a box! (Seriously!)

I went toLisieux to visit my spiritual saint and friend, St. Therese of the Child Jesus. This was a dream come true. The basilica was just awesome, jaw dropping! It is few minutes walk from the train station. A couple of restaurants were open for business during my visit and most of the dining places were close because they said... More

Devout Catholics will need no explanations, they will be very familiar with the story of St. Theresa, the Little Flower. This is her church. Plenty of things to see. Lots of exhibits around the church detailing her life. We went there from Paris St. Lazare station (about an hours journey). The Basilica is about fifteen minutes walk from the station.... More

Just a brief train ride from Paris - this is a beautiful town with many things to do and see with great places to eat. St. Therese is my wife's name sake so she has a special place in our lives.

This is an experience of a lifetime. Can't say anymore...you just have to go there! We ended up in Lisieux quite by accident as our car broke down a few kilometers from the town. What a wonderful accident! We'll never forget the visit.

We only took a train ride to Lisieux from Deauville to pass some time , we had no idea that this amazing attraction was here . It is huge when you look from the outside and even bigger and mind blowing inside . Mass was taking place when we visited and it fantastic to see all the visitors join in... More

This amazing place has the wow factor inside and outside. There are many information boards telling us about Saint Therese with fascinating old photographs of her childhood but the beautiful stained glass windows and the tranquillity of the spacious interior are the most memorable.
