The carmel is very close from the tourist information office, is very quite and has a little museum well worth the visit, it's free. There is a very nice bookstore and gift shop where a lot of the things are done by the nouns and...More

Carmel De Lisieux was a pilgrimage stop for our group to visit the convent and resting place of St. Theresa. In addition to veneration of St. Theresa, there is a beautiful chapel for quiet prayer and reflection, a museum and bookstore. Unfortunately we arrived late...More

Beautiful place of pilgrimage. The starting point when visiting Lisieux. The serenity of the place and the story of Therese are very touching.

We returned to Carmel in July 2017, having been there in August 2016. This is a very quiet sacred place. A place of great power. The exhibition is very interesting with actual objects from The Little Flower herself. The only downside is the shop, there...More

This is a perfect first stop to be with Therese and the bookstore is the best. You can sit in prayer even with the chapel having services. The rose garden outside is exquisite. If you get in late, this is a perfect place to walk...More

Street parking is available on the street by meter and Carmel is a short two minute walk past a lovely garden area. Entrance is free and is a quiet and contemplative chapel.

If interested in St. Therese, a most remarkable contemporary Saint, you must visit the chapel and museum dedicated to her life. It is a very spiritual place. Take your time, and meet God as you contemplate the wonders He has done in her short life.

Truly amazing to see the intact body of St. Therese in the monastery that she joined in the 19th century. Very peaceful place in middle of the city of Lisieux.
