There is a good track for either walking or cycling around. From our place we can walk around in one hour easy, and depending how fast... More

A nice way to spent 30 mins walking around the lake. There are divers training in the middle of the lake and provided a talking point for my partner and I. It was really quiet except for the noise coming from the rig, although it did not spoil the walk.

Nice easy walking trail around the man made lake. Crystal clear water safe for swimming and caters for lots of activities (kayaking, recreational boating, swimming, diving, cycling, walking). Yet another hidden Waikato wonder.

Lovely easy cycle track with a couple of options on the eastern end of the lake where you can go out to the road, or just stay on the track. Great place for leisure cycling or family outings.

The Museum has a gathering every second Sunday of the month in the old Railway Station Building starting at approximately 8:30am with a lovely natural nature walk right around the lake. This finishes with an offer of free tea/coffee... More

This walk is a rustic kind of park where the water is clean enough for kids to swim in, dogs to drink and bathe on a hot day. It attracts water sports of various kind, is the home to Waka Ama and a professional dive school as the lake is surveyed. The lake beganas an opencast mine hence the depth... More

Easy walk around the lake with lots of water sports happening on the lake to watch. Great for swimming, kayaking, diving and skiing.
