Lots to see, and lots of history, but compared to other "racing" museums not that well presented. Lots of interesting things to look at, but a lot of the exhibits only have information in French so difficult to know what you're looking at. Worth visiting if you're into race cars, but could do with a facelift.

Visited the historic Le Mans for my birthday last week and so glad we did. The place is filled with so much history. Not just racing cars, but road cars as well. Being next to the actual track is a bonus, we thankfully went on a very quiet day so we could enjoy the exhibits in peace. A lot of... More

We visited on a Saturday morning & it was very quiet, 20€ for a family ticket. Enjoyed a lovely walk around the museum with all the different cars through the ages that had raced the track. Film clips to watch during the tour & seating areas. Museum was lovely & cool for the 30 degree day it was. We had... More

The car selections are outstanding. I actually enjoyed the racks and racks of model cars of the participants by year....great to see many of the cars I remember from years ago. The displays and multimedia presentations were very good, and the gift shop had some great nick-nacks and shirts/hats. The only thing I'd have liked to have seem was an... More

The most wonderful collection of cars and motor racing memorabilia I have ever seen. I could have spent even longer than the half day I had allocated to myself.

Been to Le Mans many times but only to the museum once. Very interesting place, lots of history. Make sure you allocate lots of time as there are many things to see and it should not be rushed.

A car guy we were close and had to drive by. A neat place, good selection of trinkets etc in the boutique, great cars in the museum. A must visit.

Was not expecting the amount of exhibits, well worth the entry fee. Another important thing is that there is a resturant and that the beer, kronenbourg red, is nearly half the price of the trackside vendors selling the same beer!

Do not go to any on site fast food joint they are awful expensive rubbish. Formal sit down food not much better and too expensive. Either take your own food or get the tram in to town for much better food which is cheaper.
