A typically French Cathedral, large stone building with magnificent vaulted ceilings. The woodwork is well worth taking a closer look, in particular the figures at the rear of the church below the organ, but in particular the superb carved figures around the pulpitum, which took...More

You may or may not "collect" cathedrals in your travels. With major repairs going on inside, the setting is somewhat impaired. But it is still worth visiting for the spectacular stained glass windows and the equally marvelous wooden altar pieces. The latter are as intricate...More

Very impressive even in comparison to the better known French cathedrals, but without crowds of tourists! Take you time to enjoy the details of XII decorations and feel the spirit of this place

The cathedral has some wonderful stained glass and statues but it is the soaring architecture that impresses most

Not my main interest, but very impressive. Glass and woodworking are exceptionally well presented. Well worth a visit as part of your tour of this beautiful city. It's stonework outside is fascinating and either better restore or preserved than is usual.

Worth a visit if in the vicinity. Impressive rose windows, stained glass and organ. Good English narratives to aid appreciation.

There is currently some scaffolding outside as they are maintaining the building, but this has been covered very tastefully. Definitely worth a...More

The original Plantagenet/Angevine vaulting. Different from most cathedrals in France and hence worth the stop. Great view looking back toward the river.
