Known as the " sailor's church" it is very well preserved. Even has two model ships along the walls which is rare for a Catholic church. Enjoyed the stay. It appears much of the stained glass was destroyed during WWII so the patterns are very...More

Imposing from the outside, fairly simple inside. The most beautiful features were the organ music and the colourful patterns on the ground from the sun beating on the glass stained windows.

The church attracted us by the organ music inside, and we were treated to some loud chords which echoed beautifully throughout the large building. It was calmer and cooler than the port as it was August 15th, the holiday to mark N-D de l'Assomption.

An imposing structure from the outside, yet pleasingly simple inside. The stained glass windows are attractive and the model boats are a nice touch. There are also concerts in the church from time to time.

Not worth a long visit as is nowhere near as nice as the other churches in the area but is adjacent to the Port Vieux area. 1770.

The first church on this site was built in 1152, and it has a long history worth reading about. There are a lot of references to ships in Eglise St-Sauveur, and is one of the least ostentatious churches we were in during our travels. It...More
