There are two ticket options. Buy the option of both towers. You can go to the second one on a different day. The history of the towers is quite fascinating. Look out for the carvings made by prisoners. Lots of narrow stone staircases, definitely not...More

We headed to the tower as we wanted to experience just how scary the height, of St Nicholas tower was (used in Red Bull cliff diving). It far exceeded expectations! The view at the top (accessed by a ladder like ascent) was great. As other...More

This is an absolute must when in La Rochelle. Great skyline and surrounded by restaurants and bars. It just creates a lovely atmosphere. Too many pictures to post them all. Go see for yourself you will not be disappointed.

The towers are such a landmark. Learning the history of this remarkable place is a must. It's beautiful but it's so much more!

We only had one night in La Rochelle, and wandering around the towers picked out the 'Lanterne' as the one we wanted to visit. From the outside it's probably more interesting to look at than the square blocks guarding the harbour entrance, being pointy and...More

We didn't go in any of the towers as were were out and out all day, so they'd closed by the time we were back in town for an evening meal in one of the many restaurants lining the centre round the small marina, but...More
