The other day we toured Canterbury Cathedral which was extraordinary. Today we quietly entered Poitiers Cathedral which was a world apart. Simple yet elegant, quiet and unassuming, if your want to appreciate the calm and serenity this is better.

Poitiers, as we found, is a special town, definitely worth visiting. The cathedrals are all historically important, and a must-see. The restaurants are fantastic -- one amazingly better than the other. It seems that you can't go wrong in your choosing. We were in town...More

Just a replica of Paris. Nice atmosphere at the rear plenty of cafes to sit and people watch. Some of the glass planes have been removed probably due to vandalism at the rear of the building. Buttress can be seen mimic Paris. Anyone interested in...More

Superb acoustics. We attended Sunday Mass and the sound of the congregation singing responses to the hymns was stunning, due to the acoustics in the church. Go there, hum a hymn and wonder at the sound you create. Also, look out for the statue of...More

It s a cathedral, so it s big, but After visiting all churchbuildings i would say this one is certainly not nr 1 to visit The inside didn't t impress me, felt very empty. The art inside is standard.
