The Palais de Justice was closed when we visited Poitiers. Historically, this is the location where, in 1429, Joan of Arc was examined by the council of clergy.

Situated on a walking street, right across Le Tanneur store, with a very intimate park in front, few benches, it imposes by it's architecture and most of all intriguing, as one cannot simply identify where can one enter. VEry beautiful and mysterious corner.

Very cool to see lit up at night...nice stroll to the Grand Dame too. I could feel the presence of Eleanor and imagined her at a window watching us.
