When we got to Aix, we found out that the market has been temporarily relocated to Cours Mirabeau due to some roadworks taking place. Cours Mirabeau was busy with people strolling, enjoying a coffee or biuying from the market. Definitely was worth a visit.

Nice market days with plenty of choice of restaurants, bars and shops. Theirs a few mini buses to take you on trips around the small streets of AIX and you will see a lot of things that you would normally miss out on

This popular wide boulevard with double rows of tall plane trees was built in 1650 and is situated between Place de la Rotonde & Place Forbin in the best part of the Old Town of Aix-en-Provence. It's 440 m long and 42 m wide and actually formed the dividing line with the prosperous Mazarin Quarter or new town that has... More

We love this lovely wide street and its terrific history which we learned of through a history tour from the tourist office and central role in Aix life such as festivals, xmas markets, etc. Highly recommended.

Christmas is a wonderful time to visit the Provence area with the numerous Christmas pop up markets along with the vendor markets, food markets etc... I was simply in awe of how bustling this area is with so much fun activities along this street. Definitely the best time to go!!!

Cours Mirabeau is so vibrant and lively. So many restaurants, cafes and fountains. Great place to sit, have a glass of wine and people watch!

In Summer the Cours is very busy with thronging tourists soaking up the sunshine amidst the historical tree line and fountain festooned street. At Christmas it does not lose its appeal, only several thousand tourists. With it's subtle festive lighting, Christmas market stalls on one side, it is still the street to stroll, only with a jacket and scarf this... More

Have been to Aix many times since 1993. Walk up the cours every time. It is such a stately, elegant space that has in recent years been significantly enhanced to improve the pedestrian experience At this time of the year the Christmas market is set up so you have to look to see the history past the glitz, but much... Cours Mirabeau is the main street up the center of old Aix. Lovely fountains, cute cafes. One of the upsides of Aix is that things are open and the street is lively even off season.
