We had not been to this market for 10 years and it brought back so many memories - all good. While it opens at 7 am, it really gets going about 8:30 am as vendors have finished setting up. But be there early will get you a parking spot close to the market - central Apt. Plan to buy everything... More

Wonderful fruit and vegetables, meats and cheeses. All manner of other stalls selling everything from bed linen to kitchen tools, basket ware to panema hats, leather work to jewelry. I usually avoid street markets as all too often the stalls only sell second rate tat. This is certainly not the case at Apt where every stall is a winner. Certainly... More

This is a great market where you should spend a LOT of time. Plan to go early to park, and spend your entire morning there. There are a ton of cafes where you can have a lovely breakfast and/or lunch. The large majority of merchants only take cash, so be sure you bring yours. You'll find local foods of all... More

This past April marked my 6th visit to the marche in Apt. Run don't walk to the table selling duck foie gras. The nice gentleman makes delicious foie gras and it should be placed immediately in your market basket! The sweaters are inexpensive and fantastic. They are wool navy blue and white striped sailors sweaters. So warm and wonderful. The... More

The street markets of Europe are wonderful. Great finding of local art and products. The Apt Street Market offers a nice walk through a market offering a variety of local cultural products and international faces. As well as experiencing the market along the way were some historical sites of Apt.

There were 5 of us - all Women! We loved the markets in Apt - the huge cherries, amazing cheeses, incredible olives, salamis, nougat and asparagus. There was everything at these markets, situated in small cobbled lanes behind the big carpark in Apt. All the shops were open and we wandered into a beautiful old church right in the markets... To miss this market would have been to miss the essential Provencal lifestyle. If you can get to Apt on a Saturday morning - don't hesitate. I cannot rate this marche highly enough. Even though it was 12 November 2011, none of the stall holders were deterred by the 'off season'. You can get everything here, as the previous reviewer... More

I can't say enough about this Market. It is huge and covers the old town of Apt. I suggest that you go early and stay as long as it is open because there is so much to see and buy. The market has so many different foods for sale. There are breads, olives and more olives, beautiful vegetables, flowers, crafts,... More
