For a tourist just passing through, there isn't that much to buy. Nonetheless, just taking it all in via a long stroll makes it worthwhile. There's a lot to see. We mixed in the Van Gogh walking tour and stopped by the Colosseum plus stopped...More

A huge market selling everything you can imagine from novelty souvenirs through to live chickens and everything in between. A great place to sample the range of local food and drink, as well as to pick up various local handicrafts - both traditional and modern....More

A great Provencal market with a bounty of local produce, meats, and breads. There are cheesemakers, spice traders, honey producers and livestock farmers selling their crafts, as well as clothing, purses and souvenirs. Buy a roasted chicken but make sure you get the potatoes that...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip through the market on a Saturday. It was very crowded, but the vast array of booths and food items made the crowds less of a problem. We bought cheese, bread and cookies - worth the drive from Noves.

Note that the opening times on TripAdvisor are incorrect....the market is Wednesday and Saturday. Great range of food and non-food items...premium prices, but for what seemed good quality. An eclectic range of non-food items...including the most unlikely...several stalls selling mattresses...I’m trying to imagine the circumstances...More

Such a great market! Cheese, olives, lavender, bread - all kinds of food and more. A beautiful way to spend a late morning, buying ingredients for your next meal or to take home.

The market in Arles is one of my favourite in Provence. It is large, but not overcrowded, so you are not being jostled out of the way all the time. The range of food is a delight, and you should come with an appetite, as...More
