Just off the road from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer to Arles, included in the Arles pass. Interesting stories on the agriculture of wine and rice in the Camargue.

A visit here will make your experience of the Camargue that much richer. 5€ entry to the building. Pleasant walk of about 1.5 hours to view the rice fields, bulls, traditional house of a 'guardian', white horses and plentiful bird life.

We began our trip to La Camargue at this museum and it was definitely the best part of our day. The museum is modern and professional, with really interesting exhibits. (Labels are all in French so ask for the translations). The nature path at the...More

We arrived at lunch time and the museum was closed, so we waited for 1PM and it opened right on time. We paid the admission (about 5 euros) and wandered through the exhibits which showed the early history of the development of this region. It...More

This is a small museum but full of the spirit of the Camargue and conveys a real sense of the area. Would not have missed it. There are short walks from there, and plenty of birdsong.
