We found this restaurant randomly and we made a big mistake. First of all, it’s pricier than any other place around though the food is beyond disgusting. Then, workers are acting like in a mafia. The guy at the entrance is just here to make sure no one runs away. Waiters are useless in top of being rude. They can’t take orders properly. When you are asking them where is the food after waiting for more than 30 minutes, they are getting aggressive. Of course, they don’t accept credit cards because « the machine is broken ». According to trip advisor, it has been broken since the past few years... Yet they would not inform about it upon arrival and ask you to go to the ATM on the other side of the square! Tip for those who realise that it is a scam once sat at the restaurant: If you are too polite they will be agressive to you so simply ask them to bring the ticket and start a conversation with others customers. Dining out (literally) on provenance! Didn’t eat only had wine(rose fair priced) and children had ice cream. My poor son age 11 was crunching on something when he fished it out of his teeth realised it was broken shards of glass. I told the waiter who got an older lady as he didn’t speak English who basically ignored us and said it wasn’t possible. No one came to speak to us to offer help or apology just ignored us - it was most upsetting! When we came to pay and told a third person with the glass shards to prove/show again they said the ice cream was new! There was barely an apology and certainly no concern whatsoever. We said it may not be the ice cream but the cream, or the spoon, or the glass and we were worried for others but it was totally dismissed by the indoor smoking non mask wearing staff member. Not the reaction or concern it absolutely warranted. Having traveled to experience this cafe especially we left upset (the ice cream was taken from the bill in a poultry offering) and the experience completely ruined with a terrible impression of service and care. I felt English were ignored and of no consensus to them. Maybe have a coffee or glass or glass of wine / check what you’re eating/drinking - that there are no glass foreign bodies (pardon the pun) but Equally bypass and just take a photo! Which is what I wish we did - it has left us with an awful memory. I would absolutely not recommend, how could I ? Sadly.…

In COVID times Arles was empty so we had all the place in the world on the deck. We had a meal and dessert, both were good. Our waitress was funny and kind. Didn’t had the bad expierence the reviews here show...
