We had a fantastic visit to Le Pavillion. Showed up on bikes and it seemed quite quiet but one of the guys from there welcomed us in and said we could take the bikes right up. The shop itself is very clean with lots of interesting products on offer. We asked for a tasting and the guide very kindly invited us to join a little french your she was doing and offered to speak in both french and then English. She was engaging and very informative - we learned so much about the region and tasting and loved some of the humour she added. We didn’t feel pressured to buy anything and we’re fortunate enough to try 3 reds and a sweet white. The wines improved as we went through the range but the overall experience was just great!!

Le Pavillon was a fantastic experience on all levels. Our guide for the tour was an incredible young lady who is originally from Melbourne, Australia. She was a wonderful "entertainer" who brought the story of the area and the wines to life for our group. The area of Chateau du Pape consists of about 365 vineyards, and has very "rocky" fields and high temperatures, which creates much stress on the grapes. According to our guide the stress creates the great and complex flavors that the Chateau du Pape area is known for. I am a great fan of Chateau du Pape wines, have been a buyer of their wines for many years, and was thrilled to actually be "here..." I now know why I have been a fan of Chateau du Pape wines. I came, I saw, I tasted, and I leave even a bigger fan than before...

The gentleman who gave our group the wine (and chocolate) tasting was excellent. His descriptions were interesting, he was truly involved and enjoyed explaining about the wines. He made the whole French wine tasting experience something we will remember. Also the store located here is an experience in itself.

With a nice gift shop, with nice lavender and local soap, and other fun non-wine related items. The tasting in their large room was perfect for those new to wine, and still fun for those of us more experienced with wine and French wine. I would recommend going here first, then seeking out a smaller winery's tasting room for a more intimate experience. Nice wines, especially the white.

We are by no means wine connoisseurs but we do enjoy wine with our dinners. We were fortunate enough to have visited this winery during a tour of the South of France in May. We had a most interesting visit, starting with a short tour through the room with the huge wine casks. Everything was neat and clean. We continued on to the tasting room where we tasted a white wine and two reds. I am sorry I don't remember the names of the wines but believe they were Chateauneuf du Pape labels. The first taste was the white wine, then the lavender chocolate, then the wine with the chocolate. Amazing how the order of the items affected the tastes. We also tasted a red wine alone and then another red wine, followed by a thyme flavored chocolate and then the wine and the chocolate together. A very personable young man, Ben, who conducted the tasting took his time in explaining how to hold the glass, how to smell the wine (there are different ways), how to take the first taste of wine, the first taste of chocolate and how to taste the two together. I never knew you could have wine and chocolate together and that it would be so good. It was most informative and enjoyable. This would be a fun first date or a birthday gift idea. They have a nice gift shop with some unique gifts for wine lovers. I definitely recommend Le Pavillon des Vins for an interesting activity.

This was a tour that was part of a larger day trip. There is a large museum with interesting wine items, foodstuff and decor. Very clean there and in the wine room. Even if you are not a wine aficionado there was a lot of interesting information and wine tasting. The woman who gave the talk was very knowledgeable.

The talk and explanation of how to smell wine was interesting. However the bread between wines was dry. The first two wines tasted were disappointingly bland. The third wine was much better but at €65 per bottle they can keep it. I have tasted better wines elsewhere including South England.

Hi, I purchased a glass air rater in 2015 from H-B Le Pavillon des Vins which screws into the top of the wine bottle and the wine is poured though it direct into the wine glass. It was the best, however unfortunately it was broken. I would very much like to purchase two (2) or three (3) and have delivered to Australia. If this is possible that would be fantastic. I will pay all costs including delivery.
