We stopped into the small tasting room without a reservation and we’re warmly welcomed. Our server was engaging and offered us a variety of wines and gladly accommodated our requests for side by side pours so we could appreciate the variations in vintages. We found the wines delightful and reasonably priced for the quality. A very positive experience.

We were visiting the area and stopped in on TripAdvisors advice, so glad we did. Parking across the street, 3 lovely tasting for free and the hostess was very knowledgeable! Excellent wines, beautiful building and fair bottle prices.! Highly recommended!

I got to taste 4 wines - 1 white and 3 reds! All had nice flavors and complexity. The host Mailys was fantastic - very knowledgeable and explained the wines well - plus she had a great smile!

My wife and myself are currently holidaying in Provence as members of a 40-strong Great Rail Journeys Tour Group.

This afternoon the Group visited the famous Village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape for a Wine Tasting session at Vignobles Mayard. The visit proved most educational and enjoyable with the two female members of staff coming across as an excellent team - as did the 3 different wines that were tasted!

Something I would recommend other Groups to emulate.

A month prior to visiting, I have emailed and communicated with the winery. After 4 emailed, we were confirmed with a date and time to meet them at the address they provided. We were so excited and drove one hour and got there 15 minutes early so that we won't be late. We waited and waited, no one was there!! The door was locked. We went back two hours later, there was still no one. I could not believe that we got stood up! I checked my email just in case that they sent an email to cancel, but nothing. We ended up visiting couple other places and bought 2 cases of wines. So I won't be able to tell you if we like their wines or not, but it was a very disappointing experience!!!

Hi there , I am so sorry to hear this such bad experience you have lived. It has never happened before. I remember i have answered you to come as i advised someone to welcome you. Probably a misunderstanding and i am so sorry about that. I will refer to my superiors. January is such a quiet month for us and the cellar door was closed almost the entire month. Anyway, i sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. i hope you will come back one day and you will try again to visit us. I wish you all the best,

We booked a tasting at Vignobles Mayard as there were 13 of us on a visit from the Var region. The tasting hostess was friendly and welcoming and spoke excellent English (I subsequently discovered she is Dutch, but multi-lingual with it). We tasted six different red wines, ranging in price from just E12 to well over E30 per bottle, all of them extremely palatable. Having done many wine-tasting trips in the south of France, this was our first foray into Chateauneuf du Pape and it was considerably different from other regions, as well-explained by the hostess, who seemed to know her product very well. It was interesting to learn of the process, to be given some tips on how to taste properly, and what type of taste/smell we should be looking for. All in all a really excellent experience.

A very nice visit to a Chateauneuf-du-Pape winery, showcasing the vineyard and the production facility.
It’s a small but lively place, if you time the visit well, you can really see a lot of the process itself (end of September works well here).
Tasting was also good, quality wine, while not the best around (but it’s a question of taste), coupled with professional information. Very good overall.

Our tasting host Mailys (?), was very knowledgeable and helpful. That made for a nice tasting visit in the cave and we enjoyed their wines.

Booked a vineyard tour and tasting at the wine cellar in the village. We worked with Hanneke who is purely outstanding in every regard. Very knowledgeable and great customer service in helping us buy and ship wine back to USA.
Beautiful wines, especially 2016 rouge and new 2017 Blanc.
