Wait til the evening and join in the fun

We didn't go during the day but as a bar was interesting to look at. Nice collection. Do yourself a favour and go at night when there is the guy on the piano.

If you're looking for something to do on a hot summer day in Antibes, or any other time for that matter, check out the Absinthe Museum. If was great fun to learn the history of the drink and to try it out for myself. Well done.

This is the real deal. The owners are older and have spent a lifetime collecting the worlds largest and most rare collection of Fountain Dispensers /spoons/pre-Prohibition Absinthe ! There is simply nothing else like this on Earth. You descend from their gift shop storefront in the old marketplace at Antibes via a winding staircase to arrive in a Bar probably... More

We were in Antibes on a cruise stop and the wife wanted to try Absinthe while we were in southern France. The Absinthe bar/museum (same location) is an easy walk from the port. Inside there are many old posters and lots of antique absinthe accoutrements on display. Be sure to try a glass of absinthe while you are there- we... More

Its like stepping back in time when you visit here. Hidden away in the secret basement is this den of sin !!! The museum is the bar filled with memorabilia and things you can buy. You can not go and not try traditional absinthe. Absinthe is really having a come back and even Liverpool has a trendy absinthe bar these... More

While we arrived way too early to have a drink in the actual bar section (bummer!), the gift shop had many unique, value priced items. Go for the shopping if not for the drinking!

The museum is actually a small bar laid out with absinthe memorabilia. You can buy absinthe to drink and it's worth going to get the whole experience of dripping water through the sugar lumps into the absinthe. There is also a selection of old style hats you can try on. Worth a visit but beware of how strong the absinthe... More

Street level is an olive oil and absinthe store with tourist gifts, down stairs is a one room bar covered in historical pieces relating to absinthe. We went down stairs and waited 30 minutes, no bartender. Not worth any effort to visit, skip it!
