Was walking Antibes and wanted to stop by this market, it’s January and for this late in the year, a very nice selection of products. Heavy used by locals good vibe in the area.

Passed by here on a walking tour and came back later
Clearly a proper working market where locals bought fresh produce
The smells of the spices were intoxicating and the sight of all the fresh goods was fascinating
Very busy but well worth a look

We were amazed by this market. We saw many atypical species of fruit and vegetable. We could taste vary home made products. If we were not travel by plane I would spent fortune to buy and taste everything. You can choose cheese, vegetable, fruit, spices, herbs, soaps, truffles, fish and seafood. I was also wandered how quickly and nicely this place was cleaned and prepared for restaurant terraces set ups. If you plan to come to Antibes or Juan Les Pins this is "a must" you ought to see.

Small but lovely and lively and full of great delicasies. Nice cafes and restaurants and bars adjacent. Excellent for experiencing local life and the old town.

I`m not particularily fond of this type touristic market but Marche provencal is unexpectingly good & pulls it off by offering a wide selection of quality local produce. Of course there are the Provencal lavender standard products but aside from that there is everything from veggies, olive oil, spices & flowers to sur la place crepe. Lovely roof-covered market resembling a smaller version of a train station for the rare occasion of bad weather. Not a big place but you`ll easily spend a few hours here if also including something to eat & drink on the nearby square or side alleys.

The market itself is beautiful with a wide variety of local produce. Most stalls are there at the weekends. However, be careful when you buy cheese at "Fromagerie D Exc"!! We opted for a quite expensive cheese and only realised later that it expired one month ago!! Not acceptable!
Try the Socca which is a speciality made of chickpeas and olive oil. It comes straight out of their mobile oven and is best eaten warm.

The open market is full of delicious flavors. It closes early and you should see it in the morning. Some vendors will offer tastings of their products - yummy. A very enjoyable stroll and full of wonderful foods.
You will see a seafood market next to the open market — it is just across the small street. There is an excellent small restaurant called Mer/sea, next to the fish market! The seafood comes from the market and the oysters are exceptional!!

This market reminded me my childhood and trip to the market with my grandma... Fruits, vegies, meats, cheeses look and taste so good, if i can only describe... My favorite - tomatoes... so flavorful, I just couldn't get enough of them. Love it! we stayed in Antibes for over 2 weeks and went to the market every other day. Never tired of it!

It's every day ! Best thing is the TER (regional) trains run very regularly. It's a short walk to town. May I suggest walking along the port and take in all the beautiful yachts ? Then enter Antibes through the big stone wall. Have fun !

Hi,
We are going for 2 weeks to Antibes (here we are likely to mostly cook at home) and wanted to see if you have other recommendations for food shopping. Would you have suggestions other than Marche Provincal?
Thank you very much
