Le Suquet is the old quarter of Cannes and the original fishermen’s residential area, the houses are all very old, and the streets were laid out at least 400 years ago. The area is probably best known as the climbing, winding cobbled lanes of Rue...More

Le Suquet which means the mound or the hill, was originally the strategic promontory that protected the Cannes people. During the middle ages, the monks of Saint Honorat built a castle on Le Suquet as a place of worship. Today, all that remains is the...More

I loved it here. I took a leisurely stroll here one morning. I loved walking along the cobbled streets and mooching around the many shops along the way. The views from church are amazing, absolutely breathtaking. I am so pleased that I came here.

The old town is so pretty and they have cute local clothes shops and souvenir shops..Surprisingly, the souvenirs were cheaper and prettier than in Nice

For those of you who want to visit the historic centre of Cannes this is an absolute gem. All the Iconic features of Mediterranean small towns are here with the added quirkiness afforded by the hilltop location.

This was a small section east of the harbor that involved going up hill to enjoy a view of the city. Definitely worth the climb and to get a better perspective.

This is a "must do" visit if in Cannes. We enjoyed exploring the narrow lanes of Le Suquet and the stunning views from atop the hill area.

We liked Cannes on the walking tour. Movie people and rich people. Clean and beautiful city. Weird to see the steak and shake in the middle of other local restaurants.

The walk was very hilly but worth it. At the top the views over Cannes are amazing, especially on a clear day like we had! The pictures speak for themselves!

This is a picture prefect place. The oldest part of Cannes. Located in the district Le Sequet. It was build on a 60 meter high hill roundabout the year 1030. The narrow alleys, small restaurants are beautiful and therefore a great picture perfect place. This...More
