After surveying the landscape we visited the museum for an hour or so which has interesting objects from different far away islands as well as some Egyptian artefacts and local paintings. Eclectic collection was worth the visit.

A relatively small museum, but jampacked with interesting items well displayed. I went there to see an especially interesting new display of photographs of Egyptian archaeological sites taken at the dawn of photography. Not a large display, but interesting to see before they became tourist spots. There is a wonderful collection of musical instruments, old paintings of the local area... More

The viewpoint in front of the church as well as next to the church provides one with panoramic views over the city and valleys. Do continue to the top, the view is worth it. It is not a massive climb and one can wind down back to town with an alternative road and explore the historic quarter to its fullest.... More

With a leisure walk up along the Suquet old town about 10 minutes from Cannes. Special rate for group size over 10 pax. Climb up the tower for a beautiful bird eye view over pretty Cannes. Quite many world ethnical collections and paintings on display.

This museum is truly a waste of space, and the collection has absolutely nothing to do with the region. The tour has a beautiful of Cannes, but the staircase leading up to the top is really horrific and dirty.

I did not go inside the museum so cannot comment on this. However, I can say it is still worth the visit just to get photos of the outside buildings.

Musee de la Castre is the historical ans ethnographic museum of Cannes. It has some collections of art from different parts of the world and from the region. It is an interesting museum, but it is not essential. Outside the Museum, you can see beautiful views of Cannes and the sea.

Great view from the church, but the museum is closed on Mondays. Still worth the walk up. Someone was playing violin in the square which added to the ambiance.

Excellent little museum stuffed with ethnographic relics from around the world, including a Persian permanent exhibition. Outside is almost more delightful, with a panoramic view of Cannes, the Alpes on a good day and the most delightful sea breeze. heaven with a busker too.
