Nice, but very strong and I'm allergic to most scents

We stopped at the Fragonard lab on our day trip from Nice to Monaco in June 2012. Interesting to see the lab and how they make perfume and soaps. However, very strong scents in some areas and for those with allergies or respiratory issues, it isn't a great stop to be stuck at long. After the tour, you're lead into... More

I learned that this "laboratory" is on the list of many tour guides for scheduled and unscheduled stops. If you have respiratory issues, this should be avoided, particularly if you get back on a tour bus. Visitors cannot help but sample the perfumes and the scents are very strong. Tour guides get financial incentives to stop here so the "deals"... More

This is where a lot of the worlds great perfumes are made. A good little 20 min tour followed by the opportunity to buy some truly lovely fragrances at great prices.

This place although slightly interesting is simply a ploy to get you quickly through the tour and into the boutique. The tour guide then turned from pleasant to sales monster and started pushing goods. We bought a very small bottle and even at that we're pushed to buy a bigger one. We declined and she became instantly cold and distant.... More

Everything that I always wanted to know about perfume. Very interesting and very informative. It was just long enough that we did not become bored. Really have a lot more respect for this industry.

We participated in this organized tour through our cruise ship, however these comments are restricted to the general tour....our guide was informative however there was not a lot of detail in regards to the specific science/art of perfume making. They were making the 'duck handsoap' on our visit which was interesting, however the tour essentially felt like a large set... More

Take your time to visit the factory and labs via a guided tour. Every item in the shop is perfect but the budget is limited!

A very pleasant tour of the perfumerie. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we all enjoyed the short game of identifying different smells, which was quite easy, but nonetheless interesting as it promoted discussion between us. We were not presssurised to purchase at all, in fact our guide could Not have been more helpful. Useful having its own parking as... More

We were forced to go on this tour because it was part of a 'package'. Since it is just a big sales pitch, I imagine that the company taking us (viator) got some kind of kickback for each purchase by it's clients. Your time would be better spent doing something else.

The tour was brief and interesting. No more than 20 minutes so despite the bad reviews it was worth going. I enjoyed learning the history of perfume and about the different elements which comprise perfume. It was also fun to test the different scents. The only bad thing I can say is that the sale woman after the tour was... More
