I'm not a massive fan of his work, but there was another artist's work displayed on the ground level which I liked. The sub-level has Cocteau's work and a film he made about his work. The ticket does get you into the Old Fort a...More

The artist was unknown to us prior to our visit. The museum is lovely and well cared for. You have to have an appreciation for this interesting artist's work.

We were lucky to turn up on the first Sunday of the month and get free entry. Nice exhibition space & cafe. The cafe was packed, and a self service lunch was laid out with cold meats, pâté, quiches, French cheeses and indulgent deserts.

It's a lovely bus ride from villefranche to Menton along the coast. Pretty views and so cheap 1.5 euros each way. We decided on a recommendation to visit the Jean Cocteau museum, it's easy to find on the seafront in Menton. Very modern building. Interesting...More
