Most folk visit the Old Chateau Cemetary but not its big brother above. This major cemetary is vast and gives some fascinating insights into the Town’s population. The Military section is very moving and a pertinent reminder of those soldiers from the old French colonies...More

This is probably the most beautiful cemetery I have ever seen. The loveliest of resting places for some famous personages, too. It's worth the hike up the steep hill! Will return, surely.

We walked along the top road looking down on Menton. Well cared for (some more refurbishment work going on currently) with, as you might expect a peaceful atmosphere. Looking back up to the mountains you can see the other cemetery. It was surprisingly enjoyable.

This requires a lot of walking up steep hills but it is very interesting. There is a French war grave section and the English artist Aubrey Beardsley is buried here. Fabulous views.

This is such a beautiful place! I went early morning to catch the tranquillity. It was one of the prime memories from my cote dazur vacation. There is a lot of steps to climb so it is good if you are fit.

This place of repose is situated right at the top of the town, overlooking the Mediterranean. There is a long, steep climb if you go on foot, but you can take the Petit Train de Menton (pick it up near the Bastion on the Promenade...More
