We purchased a 7 day pass for museums in the Nice area and this one was our favourite. The displays were beautiful and well documented in both French and English. There were so many instruments in beautiful condition. We enjoyed our visit to this museum. A must see if you are in the area.

There is not much to see inside with not english-speaking staff, and tickets are very expencive. Only if you are an old music instrument fan...

Although pricey to pay for entry for just this museum it can be paired with a ticket to the Modern Art Museum. It is a former palace with some original furnishings and on the upper floors an off-beat collection of unusual musical instruments. Who know why the City of Nice keeps the amazing collection in such an incongruous location.

Found this while wandering through the old town in Nice. It is an amazing step back in time. The building is beautifully restored and you can wander through, not very busy when we visited so able to get time to explore without crowds

Interesting example on baroque building and home, but the mix with old instruments is not ideal. I found the house in itself well wort the visit. As often in France, quite unfriendly and not service minded staff, denying us entrance when it was 15 seconds past closing time the first time....

This is a small museum, which in my mind is not on Rue Droite. But anyway, it is a unique place in regard of the collection of old instruments. It seems that in those days any instruments with strings were in fashion. They are all displayed in Palais Lascaris and not only displayed but you can also have them as... More

Palais Lascaris was free with Rivera pass. I am not sure if I was paying full price if it was worth price. If you like musical instruments I would say yes.

I found the building more interesting than it contents of musical instruments. Its nice to look inside to see the rooms and little chapel the family used. Worth doing if you have purchased a museum pass.

It took a while to track down in the side roads of the Vieille Ville in Nice, but what a find! Winding stone staircases chambers and glimpsed balconies reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet. Being also a museum of baroque musical instruments, with occasional concerts it would repay many visits. We were charmed by the paintings, the statues and the exhibits ,... More
