Lovely modern museum situated a short way from the centre of Nice. Chagall's work is a riot of colour and the beautiful bright setting really does it justice. The centrepiece of the museum is the series of large biblical works, each with a detailed story. Equally captivating are the views of the city and the bay. A must visit for... More

A very well thought-through gallery, plenty of artworks as well as tapestries and interesting exhibits. A much more interesting visit than the Matisse museum.

Even if you are not a art fan, you will enjoy your time in this wonderful museum. His biblical paintings are incredible, specially the Song of the Songs dedicated room. Chagall worked with Delaunay, Malievich and so many others. A mix of fauvism, impressionism, suprematism and surrealism.

Please see the awesome and moving museum if you are in Nice, France. I love museums. This is one of my all-time favorites! It caught me by surprise. I like Chagall's art but did not know until we arrived in Nice about this museum. It is small and only takes 1-2 hours but well worth it. Many of the works... More

So interesting to see his beautiful, colorful paintings from his religious point of view.. Just breathtaking. A must see. He also did a fantastic mosaic art on the outside wall part of the building. You are given a headset to guide you through the paintings so you will know everything about all the details of the paintings. It is very... More

The collection is very impressive! The museum has been build while Chagall was still living and he was involved in building design and collection organization, and that shows. The audio is very good! It is free - take it.

This museum holds the religious works of Marc Chagall. It is not a very extensive collection, but it gives a glimpse of the artist's background. It is worth chacking out. It takes from 1-2 hours, depending on how much time you want to dedicate to appreciating the displayed artwork, or watch the film presentation.

A must see, if you've any interest in Chegalls. Note, however, that it's closed on Tuesdays. Very interesting to see his progression and view tehse masterpieces in person.
