In an old church hidden in the small streets of saint Raphael you find the most amazing little museum. It takes you trough Mediterranean stone ages (relics taken right out of Jean M Auls book “clan of the cave bear”), to the Roman period with...More

This museum is tucked away at the back of St Raphael in the old town and could easily be missed. There are Roman and medieval remains to be seen on a descent to the crypt; and for those who can cope with heights a stiff...More

So interesting and surprising... Our kids (6 and 8 years old) loved it! Perfect thing to do when the weather isn't ideal for outdoor fun. We'll be back

All my kids are elementary school age, and museums such as Musee Archeologique are perfect for us. This museum shows a rich archeologic history of the region from pre-historic times. It is small enough and offers great and diverse exhibits to keep kids focused on...More

Wow, this was brilliant and free entry. Lots of archeological artifacts. Need to be mobile to climb the stairs to the different floors.

This is a free, small well maintained local history museum, with ancient artefacts, old church and viewing tower. I am a pensioner, and enjoyed the challenge and climbed the 128 steps to the top of the church tower

Can't believe you could see it all for free. Well worth the visit . You get to go up the church tower and visit the archeological dig.

One of a kind collection of underwater findings mixed with an ancient church with ongoing excavations. It is free so spend as much or as little time as needed, but worth seeing. The intact amphorae collection is a sight to behold! Easy parking as well.
