As a tribute to Cocteau this is a lovely peaceful and small and informal decorated chapel. We loved it, and the tickets allow for re-entry.

This chapel is unlike any chapel I've been in before. It's small and painted all over the walls, arches and ceiling by Jean Cocteau in his very distinctive style back in 1957. It shows events from the life of St. Peter the apostle and is...More

And try to make it to Menton for the sweet museum dedicated to the work of this true Renaissance man. He made the original 'Beauty and the Beast' ('La Belle et la Bete'), one of the best classic French films.

You could almost walk past this beautiful chapel. It surprises you by suddenly appearing unexpectedly. its so small looks like a local house at first if you didn't know it was there. A very plesant suprise.

For people interested in Jean Cocteau, this is a must. There is a charge of 3 euros but it is worth it.

This 14th century chapel was decorated inside and out by Jean Cocteau in the 1950s. The chapel is small but there is a lot of detail to look at in the wall paintings. Information boards describe them. I liked the depictions of the fishermen and...More
