We went in search of this site and it's quite small. Access isn't free as it's attached to the museum, which was also closed so we couldn't walk in the grounds itself. The site is well kept and reading up on the origins brings it to life. Other than that it's a good place to see if close by or... More

The indoor History Museum in the Centre Bourse was closed but on one side is this large archaeological site of meticulously restored stone structures set in a precisely manicured turfed and landscaped garden. It's amazing to realise that remains going back 2-3 centuries BC lie under the heart of downtown Marseille. Much more to admire in the past than the... More
