Well worth the traipse up to the top. This cathedral is something of an architectural monstrosity, but the views are sublime and the history of the site is fascinating (warning - the excellent museum is in French but does provide English translations on a handout....More

We took the train up to the top (as far as it can go before walking). It is only 8 euros for a two hour trip with a 20 minute break. Perfect. Not ideal for people with Maladies!

Loved the church and the views. Inside the church has beautiful ceilings. The shop has nice souvenirs to purchase. It has a bus that arrived every 20 mins and can take people back to the Old Port.

Lovely church situated on top of a hill. Church has a maritime theme in line with the place. A good climb up the hill to the church.

Hike up, it's worth it if you can. The cathedral is stunning and the views were amazing off each and every side. The crypt was ok not necessary to see. Go early on warm days and bring water if you're hiking.

A huge church that makes the visitor feel small and insignificant. A visit to this place is a must when touring Marseille.

Getting to the cathedral could be difficult but we caught the public bus No 60 that took us all the way up to the car park for less than 2 Euros. The views are stunning and you can see the region even beyond the city....More

You can take the bus 60 from the old port until the Terminus, which is right at the entrance of the church for 1,50 Euro.
