I think the proper name of this park is Emile Duclaux ( that's what it says at the entrance ) but I'm assuming it's the same place. This was our favourite spot in Marseille, just to sit on a shaded bench and read, have a...More

We walked from Vieux Port up to the Palais du Pharo. A great place to sit in the grounds and have a picnic. The views of the town are quite stunning, but it was disappointing to discover that you can't go inside the Palais. It...More

Neither the Palais, nor the park around it, on their own are nothing worth writing home about, but the views from its gardens are superb. In my personal opinion those are the best views of Marseille. You can see the Vieux-Port, the Cathedrale de la...More

Palais du Pharo is very nice place with big park and great view of the city. You can enjoy walking in the park around the palace and get great pictures of the city.

The park is upon a hill, right next to the mouth of the Old Port. It gives a nice view of the whole city, good place for panoramas. Also has a park where locals go. Can't seem to enter the palace though.

Marvelous spot to sit/lay down & relax while observing the harbour, Notre Dame, Mucem...also, it`s the perfect place for picnic (altough, I`m not sure if it`s allowed hehe)...

It's a good looking centuries old governmental building with a nice park. The view over the harbor is good but it's not fantastic. The rating it has right now is strongly overrated.

The building itself is pleasant enough, but you need to come here to get the stunning view back across to the town
