Excellent and well-kept area for Van Gogh super-fans. It was an easy visit, free parking, close in, not a lot of walking for some wow-moments. As in Arles, the easel representations are placed so the viewer can imagine what Van Gogh saw when he painted...More

Wonderful afternoon walk from St Remy town center where there was a local market... with some snacks and fresh fruits I arrived St Paul happily. Entering the ground, I was pretty surprised to see the way the place is kept and organized. Trees lined walk...More

It was very interesting visiting the place where Van Gogh stayed for months, after he’d cut his ear. We can visit his room and read some medical reports about him, including his diagnosis. Worth the visit!!

This is still an active hospital for treating mental illness. Well maintained. Very good presentation of why Van Gogh was there, what his life was like in the institution, and how mental health issues have been dealt with over the last couple hundred years.

Stand in the room where the great artist and tragic figure lived for over a year after leaving the hospital in Arles. The former mental hospital is all there but now a museum devoted to Vincent Van Gogh. See what he painted, where he lived,...More

St Paul de Mausole is the hospital to which Vincent Van Gogh referred himself as an inpatient realising that he needed medical help for his mental health issues. He lived here for a year and produced some of his most stunning work while a patient...More

This was a sanatorium where Van Gogh stayed. You can still see his room. And they put up the paintings that correspond to the environment so you can see how he was inspired. Lovely, tranquil environment
