Literally went up for the ride and to take some photos and came back down (in Toulon by cruise ship) - some great photos of Toulon city and cruise ship in harbour from this vantage point.

You must buy the tickets at the Tourism office in the town . Then you ride the bus up to the cable car location. We loved the views from the top and got some great pictures of all of the Navy ships in the harbor. I caution you to find out the bus schedule when you purchase your tickets, when... More

Travel to and from the Telepherique is easy, using a frequent and reasonable bus service, and the journey up the mountain on the cable car is truly spectacular. Once there the walks and the views are good and you will normally find some liquid refreshment can be obtained.

Went here with friends from work and had a good time. Stunning views from the top and some history to learn also. Cafe at the top does great ice creams!

We were very much looking forward to this cable car ride to the top of the mountain and the visit to the WW II War Memorial. We purchased the tickets in the town of Toulon, and were not warned that the memorial was closed for remodeling. The other challenge here is that the public bus transportation in June was very... The cable car features on most websites when you search for things to do in Toulon. We arrived nice and early and although the number 40 bus stops right outside the Telepherique there was a fair wait for the next bus so we walked here from the Holiday Inn hotel. We were in the first car of the day and... More

Like many European cities, Toulon offers a lift to the highest peak in the town. You really can't walk to the lift from the center of town. You'll need to take the bus. Best advise is to purchase the ticket at the tourism office near the center of town near the market. The bus stops right at the market and... More

Does its job! It wasn't running to the timetabled every ten minutes but there weren't enough users to require that. The top of Mount Faron is a pleasant stroll for an hour or so.

Cheap and an interesting ride to the top of the mountain. Good view of the town. The problem is there is not a lot else up there. A new museum is shortly to open so it will be worth the trip.
