Great spot for kids, restaurant on site. I am a bigger guy and I was able to fit on a couple of rides, the luge ride and the comet ride particularly.

For REAL beginners this place is the perfect location. They offer classes with professional instructors both for kids and first-time adults. The place is affordable (16 euros for 4 hours), classes are an extra. We rented equipment and clothes at the city center, right next to the bus stop because there was cheaper, but there is a rental store there... More

The presence of the Luge in Chamonix was part of the reason we decided on going there. Due to the lack of snow during December, Les Planards was one of only a few ski areas in operation. A lot of tourists/skiers assembled here from early morning till closure. The Luge was only running for about 3-4 hours in the afternoon.... More

The roller coaster (Luge) is nice. Except of it, there's nothing to do here. My children (5, 10, 13) liked the roller coaster. It was nice and long enough. But we didn't have any useful use for the coins (=all the rest of the park), and surprisingly, the coins I have bought could not be refunded (although I had a... More

If you have kids then they will love the luge. No question, it is good fun! But, if you are short of time in Chamonix then put then you may prefer to do other things as it is about a 20 minute walk from the middle of town. If you do go, the cafeteria has quite a good selection for... More

Great fun in a picturesque environment, sliding down a track in a little summer luge cart as you descend an alpine hill with trees whizzing past. The carts have brakes so you only go as fast as you feel comfortable experiencing. This is a great way to see the countryside and work up an appetite for a hot chocolate in... More

the luge is very fun to experienced poeple but i met at least 2 families that collided there since there were no safety instructions to the riders (like don't fully stop in the middle of a circle turn) and when they got wounded no one cared. there was no employee at the end of the ride to make sure poeple... My 8 year old son is reviewing the sledging (we did not use any other facilities/attractions). You must go there you're basically sledging on a track. Some people go really slow and some people really fast. When you want to go fast and you've got somebody fast in front of you it's super! YOU HAVE TO GO!!!!!!!
